Christopher Buchholz was born in Los Angeles. After attending schools in the U.S., England and France where he graduated, he decided to become an actor. He received a best actor prize in Italy for his first movie as the Pope assassin Ali Agca in „Attempt on the Pope“.
He has since worked as a lead actor with directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Peter Yates, Claire Denis, Pierre Schoendorfer, Volker Schlöndorff, Virgil Widrich or Cihan Inan. Christopher also directed plays, short movies and documentaries.
He is the managing director of Say Cheese Productions GmbH and directs since 2010 the International Francophone Film Festival in Tübingen and Stuttgart.
Christopher speaks four languages fluently:
